5 TIPS FOR DRONE PHOTOGRAPHER

Bali is a tourist paradise, with a wide range of place to stay, for all tastes.

Sanctoo Villa : A Peaceful Luxury Retreat

An oasis of calm, far from the bustling Bali, yet located in the cultural heart of the island. The staff will look after you during your stay and will ensure that you do not lack anything. A villa with Balinese decoration, a bathroom larger than our apartment in Paris, and a bath filled with rose petals.

No tanning mark anymore with your private pool, we also had the brillant idea to come with our own floaties !

In addition to that, Sanctoo Villa, is located directly opposite to Bali zoo, as you can see elephants walking next to the villa. The team seems to go above and beyond in every way imaginable to make sure everything is perfect.

Hideout : Hidden Eco House

No word can describe the feeling you will get when arriving at Hideout. This unique Eco stay is a hidden gem, you cannot even find it on any map yet. Don’t expect to find anything around, the nearest village is 500 meters far.

But do not worry, there is plenty to do around, musical instruments and board game are at your disposal. If it is not enough, there is a scooter for you to borrow for free.

In the middle of the rice fields, just under Gunung Agung (Bali’s highest and holiest mountain), it is a perfect place to reach the starting point of the trek leading you to the top of the volcano.

The Czech owners with the help of the locals (now called family) have done a great job using bamboo poles from a forest nearby, and then started creating a fairytale house along a sacred river.

Wayan, your host, is the most smiling person you could find on earth. And trust us, there is a serious competition in Bali. He will be more than happy to help you organize the rest of your adventures on the island of a thousand temples.

  • Drive around to get some Terang Bulan and some fruit for breakfast.
  • Watch the fireflies dance by the river at night.
  • Ask for a cooking class in the village next door.
  • Take a refreshing dip in the natural pool or lie in the hammock and enjoy a book.

Zia Seminyak : Modern and Central

The best bed, we’ve ever slept in. We do not know if it was the dantesque days that preceded our nights or the jacuzzi sessions we took before going to bed.

Located at Jalan Petitenget, near the heart of Seminyak, the best restaurant and shopping street are within walking distance. Very good value for money even for backpackers.

Some small correction can be made since the opening is quite recent. But party starts to be organized on the rooftop. We never used the swimming pool area, so we cannot give you much info on this.

Surya Villa : Ubud Quietude

Nestled on the side of the valley along the river. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Ubud. Also very close to the Campuhan Ridge Walk. The area is not entirely new but well maintained. The of this spot, its size. Two bathrooms, a large living room, and a private terrace with views of the jungle on the opposite slope. The pool is only 20 meters away from the villa (unfortunately we had a lot of wind and rain, and could not enjoy it very much).
